Chicken Cheese Fried Momo is a delicious and popular dish from the Himalayas. It is a perfect blend of juicy chicken, melted cheese and a crispy exterior. Here is a recipe for making Chicken Cheese Fried Momo at home:
Ingredients:
500g ground chicken
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup grated cheese
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
Momo wrappers
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, onions, cabbage, cheese, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger paste, and salt. Mix well.
Take a momo wrapper and place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center.
Fold the wrapper in half, sealing the edges to form a crescent shape.
Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and chicken mixture.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the momos to the pan and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the momos from the pan and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Serve the momos hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips:
You can also steam the momos instead of frying them.
You can add vegetables of your choice like carrots, mushrooms, green beans, etc.
You can use chicken breast or thighs instead of ground chicken.
Chicken Cheese Fried Momo is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. The juicy chicken and melted cheese inside the crispy wrapper make it a satisfying and tasty meal that you can enjoy with your family and friends.
