Chicken Dopiaza is a traditional Indian dish that features chicken cooked with onions and a variety of spices. Here is a recipe for making Chicken Dopiaza at home:
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into small pieces
1 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup tomato puree

2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp cumin powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
Salt, to taste
1/4 cup chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onions to the pan and sauté until golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the chicken pieces and sauté until they are browned on all sides.
Add the tomato puree and 1 cup of water to the pan.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with rice or naan bread.
Note: The recipe I've provided is one version of Chicken Dopiaza, there are many other variations of the recipe. Adjust the spices and the cooking time as per your taste preference.
